Mother’s Day Buffet
April 23, 2019Choosing The Right Father’s Day Gift
June 4, 2019When you ask people some of the reasons they love the buffet they will tell you things like variety or selection. Some will mention that they love getting to abandon a current dish if they do not like it and go get something else. Admittedly I think these are great reasons too. But another overlooked reason is group indecisiveness.
By indecisiveness I mean no one can either:
- Pick an actual place
- Agree on a particular place
And then if you pick the place they are unhappy with the place you pick, even though they won’t tell you what they want. So when you ask the question:
Where do you want to eat?
You are initiating what could become a thirty minute standoff of where to eat arguments, unsolicited comments, eye rolls, storm offs, indifference, and shoulder shrugging. Ultimately disappointment is bound to ensue. And you cannot get over the feeling that you have let some, and maybe all, of the group down. It is vacation or a holiday or just Friday night. Everyone wants to enjoy the food they like. The only problem with that is finding yourself in the middle of it.
The Buffet Solution
So let us look at a solution for this age old dilemma. Our solution is a trip to the buffet. Scores of dishes of every type and variety help everyone get something they like. When you go to a buffet you are going to ten restaurants, all at once.
